Dilated Externally at 35weeks?

Doc checked me today and said I am definitely dilated externally but not internally yet. What the heck does that mean?!? Will my baby be here soon or late?!
 Im 35 weeks 4days 💘

Your cervix opening is dilated but the cervix hasn't really softened internally (you're not effaced yet). Doesn't really determine when your baby will be here.

Dilating doesn't necessarily determine when you'll have your baby.  I've been 2cm 50% for 3 weeks almost 4.  You can dilate from 0-10 in one day.  Keep an eye out for your bloody show because that's a sign it could be soon! 😉
