If given the opportunity, would you choose vbac or repeat c section?

I can't decide. It's the anxiety that's killing me. I'm approved for a vbac but I'm scheduled for a c section. I don't want to be cut open while I'm awake (with my first I was put to sleep) but I don't want to go through all the labor just to end up with a c section again. That's what happened last time. What would you do if you were me?

There is a small chance having a natural birth that the baby can go through the incision area and die or get seriously hurt. I don't want to chance it at all. And just deal with the long recovery. This is my 2nd baby and 1st was emergency c section out.

My doctor said I didn't have to have a second c-section. I will be be having a c-section again. I am not risking complications, my incision tearing, and having to have an emergency c-section.

I had my first one because my son was breech. I always wanted a normal birth, but I accepted that this is the way I will have my babies and I'm okay with it now.

My first c section was a very pleasant pain free experience so I'm looking forward to doing the same with baby #2. The important thing is that the baby is safe and healthy!

I had the choice and I chose c section. My first was scheduled as well due to twins in the same amniotic sac. It was a really easy process and I'm hoping for the same this time around. I delivered a baby girl a little over a year ago vaginally, but she was a tiny little girl, only 24 weeks so the pushing/delivery wasn't bad, but the contractions are whole different story. Pain like nothing I've ever felt in my life! This way no contractions, I know when she's coming, no vagina ripping open, no emergency c section and having to be knocked out. Just all around best for me and baby I think.

Eee. Its a hard choice, I'm very undecided.
I had an emergency c sec in December, but I have been pre approved (still waiting conformation) a VBAC and I really want to try for one! But I am terrified. 😣

I would look up the acog recommendations on vbac (which generally recommend them as being safer than c. Section as long as you fit a few parameters). I personally would do the vbac. But I think looking at the actual recommendations is the best way to make your choice. You can easily find them on google (acog vbac recommendations)

My friend did a Vbac with her son and she told me after delivery she would of rather did the C section again. She tore and said it was way worse than the c section.
