How do you know God has put THE ONE into your life??

Question

If you have any doubt in your mind at all that he's not who God wants you to be with, should you let him go?

Answer

For me, it was that my husband and I , together, were better able to seek Him and know Him better than if either of us were single or with others. It's like 2+2=5 and the sum of the parts was actually greater than it should be? I'll call it the X factor-- this divine sense that you're better together than separate.

In addition, he's my best friend, I enjoy him endlessly and when challenged with external issues (money, jobs, moving, miscarrying our twins, etc), he handled it with such strength and grace that only comes from a strong relationship with the Lord.

Conversely, I knew that the guy I dated before my husband was not the man the Lord wanted me to be with. He was a nice, educated guy with a great job, but it was the first time I realized that nice people don't just go together. He didn't seek God, I  kept putting behind the idea that things just didn't feel right. We loved the same activities but things were actually less enjoyable doing them together than if I just did it alone (cooking, hiking, ballroom dancing).

Finally; I just prayed about it. When I reached out, the Lord answered my prayers and I knew that the guy I was with wasn't this right one. Only a few months later, the guy that was just my best platonic friend was someone I suddenly began to see differently, as if a switch was flicked. I thank the Lord for my now-husband every day, as I'm certain He brought us together.
