We had a beautiful expensive swing and my lo hated it screamed everytime. I bought a $20 bouncy seat because it was cute and my daughter loved it we used it constantly.

We do have a rock and play, which does vibrate, but that's where he will be sleeping, so I don't want him to associate it with bed time.

Some babies like swings, some like bouncy seats.

One mistake new parents make (me included) is saying my baby will use XYZ because that is what I have. Yeah, it doesn't work like that. A baby will let you know what they like, and be prepared for some emergency runs to Target to pick up baby supplies because you discovery your baby needs/like something that you don't have.

We have a swing and a bouncy seat she's 8mo old and still loves both.. the bouncy seat is sort of like a hammock bc it's just fabric there's no plastic base or formed seat so I find she likes it after being in the swing. Plus she's now realizing by kicking she can bounce herself lol so she gets a kick out of that

Borrow a friend's to see if baby likes it. Rather than possibly wasting time and money on getting one that they hate.
