Birth Control

Is it weird to want the guy I'm with to come with me when I see my doctor to get my implanon. I've never needed birth control before I was in a an almost 5 year relationship and we couldn't get pregnant. And I've haven't been back with anyone for while.  It's a big deal for me to start birth control it effects our body in many ways, and I know this is something serious with him so in willing.  I'm going to get it regardless but part of me wants to share this with him.
