Do you think it's better to settle or go for your dream man?

Not settle for like a person you'd never be with obviously, but if you're with someone who doesn't have ALL the traits you want in a partner, but still most of them, do you settle or try to find better?

If he has most of the things you are looking for.. like the big ones. And he makes you happy and gets along with your family and shares the over all same goal/ life dream I would stay. Not everyone can meet everything off your checklist of wants. I would say look at the bigger picture and ask of your happy...then decide:-)

Depends what traits he doesn't have.  If you like blondes and he has dark hair, then it would be a stupid reason to leave.  If you like hard workers and he's a couch bum with no job and not actively looking for a job, then yes, leave.

Settle for the superficial, but don't overlook the core. Honesty, reliability, faithfulness, kindness and generosity to name a few.

It depends on the traits....I mean I don't believe anyone finds that someone who can mark everything off their checklist. Idk. Faith was important to me. But his family didn't go so he didn't go. And I still love him. I just let him know BEFORE we married my expectations. Like when we have children going to church with us every Sunday or at least most. So if you have that someone then being open and communication is important. Things aren't always greener on the other side.

I think he has to have 1,2 or 3 things that are absolute deal breakers, but you need to be flexible on the rest, because actually sometimes the best relationships are that way because they're completely different to anything were used 2 & actually better than our "dream" man. For the first year I thought my relationship with my SO would never go anywhere because We're so different I just didn't take him seriously as a potential long-termer, but nearly 3 years later and we have the best relationship I could ask for, he made me laugh, we could talk about anything & everything for hours & he was really kind hearted. Those 3 things were a must for me.... I just grew to love the other bits 😂
