Sex with a tampon inside...

This is really emabarrsing.. but I'm concerned. I will be going to the doctors but I just wanted to ask someone right now.  So I was in the end of my period, but I was still leaking a tiny bit so I had put a tampon in and went to sleep my husband woke me up with kissing and touching me and I went along with it and without thinking I completely forgot I had tamping inside! I was halfway awake and just didn't remember. I luckily got it out in 10 minutes I didn't had it in long but now I won't stop leaking blood and there is like a sore bump on top on pelvis, kind of below my belly button. And it itches..
