positive fetal fibronectin test at 29 weeks
I was having what felt like menstrual cramps today that lasted for a couple of hours so I went into the ER. The cramps weren't extremely painful but very noticeable, especially while walking. Thankfully, they weren't contractions but my fetal fibronectin test came back positive. I had 2 maybe 3 actual contractions while at the hospital but they were spread over a 2 hour span. I was cleared to go home after 4 hours of close monitoring, several tests and an ultra sound. I wasn't put on bed rest or anything. But I'm wondering if any of you ladies tested positive and if you did, when did you have your baby?
The dr was very reassuring since I'm showing no signs of preterm labor but I'm still nervous. And cramping was caused by baby lol. He's head down and basically stretching in a way that's causing pressure in my lower back and hips.
