Too soon to share the good news?

We're going to my in-laws' for Christmas dinner this evening. I'm 4 weeks and 6 days, got my BFP last Thursday! I kind of really want to spill the beans, but my husband and best friend both think I should wait. They're worried about if I have a miscarriage & think I'll regret telling people. What do you guys think? Anyone regret telling family too soon?

Thanks for all the input! I ended up telling them and it felt like the right thing to do. I am so happy & thankful for everything right now. My heart is full. Merry Christmas!

Nope! I told immediately because regardless of God's plans my baby's life deserves to be celebrated and if something were to happen I would want that support behind others

You would want support if your pregnancy goes well or if it doesn't. I told my parents as soon as I got my bfp. If I had miscarried in secret, I would want everyone to know that I had a baby and that I loved my baby. Everything will be fine :) my parents were over the moon and I'm sure yours will be too ?

We told our parents and close friends right away but waited to make it public til after 12 weeks

Just to clarify: the options are "Yes, it's too soon to tell." or "No, it's not too soon, spill the beans!"

I would tell them. If you were to have a miscarriage (god forbid), you'd have extra support. There is a baby and that baby should be mourned if lost.

Just mention that you want to keep it between close friends and family. Ask them to wait to share. Then when you're more comfortable, you can share on fb, tell extended family, scream from rooftops, etc.

I think parents are ok to tell you will need a good support system anyways if something were to happen!! Mise well spill the beans and let them enjoy the good news

I found out a little before 4 weeks and told my family and in laws immediately following the bfp!

Share anytime you want! The more support, the better. Especially if you have a miscarriage. You'll want support.

I'm only four weeks and six days and I told my parents and in laws. 
I would rather them be there as a support system if something happens.
And if everything is perfect it gives the family more time to love the new baby.
