Birth Control

So I just started my birth control pills on Sunday. First time ever taking birth control. I was supposed to be due for my period Wednesday. But today, Monday I just started some light bleeding. I'm not sure if this is my period early or the in between bleeding from the pill the doctor told me about. I probably sound so stupid but just wondering if any of you ladies on birth control could help me out? Thanks!!
