Bf Told Me He "Isnt all that into sex" and other issues...

So a while ago my bf told me he wasn't all that into sex. Later on he clarifies saying he only really enjoys it with me. Just recently--tonight--he said that he finds my everyday self sexy. He also said he finds my body sexy too, but notice that I had to pry those feelings out of him. On the other hand he rarely ever compliments me, and he never flirts with me. These aspects of our relationship has made me feel insecure about my body and overall who I am. I don't feel sexy or appreciated, or even noticed a lot of times. We don't act like how I see other couples acting--openly showing their affection, etc.
