Throw away packaging?

Question

We don't have a whole ton of space. I'm ready to start washing clothes and bottles and getting the rest of the clutter out, but I don't know if normal people throw the packaging for their baby items right away or not. Do I throw the boxes for the bottles? The car seat? The crib?? My breast pump!?? THE SWING?? The rock and play?!? What if these items need to be returned?? Or does that not really happen?

As you can tell, I'm obviously overthinking this. How did you ladies handle it?

I throw it all away - if you have to return something because it's faulty here (UK) they can't insist on it being in the packaging.  I just keep the instructions for stuff and staple the receipts to them.

I kept some of the big boxes and wound up storing his baby clothes in them after he outgrew them (but we have the space).

I got rid of everything. We just moved into a smaller house and there was no way we had the space to kee boxes. 
The nursery has an extra closest and that's been dedicated as a "storage closet". Never thought I would miss having a garage this much.

I've saved the boxes for things I'm on the fence about- like the Mamaroo. If my baby doesn't like it I can pack it up and return it. Or something electronic that may break, like the monitor. Everything else went in the garbage!

Omg my husband is a box keeper... it took 3 weeks for me to get him to throw away the stroller box! It stayed in our bedroom taking up so much space and I was about to lose it!! I keep the bar codes, instructions and small stuff like that! Throw away the boxes!!! Unless your moving soon!
