Not sure if I'm ovulating or what?

To start with, I do not chart using a thermometer and I do not use OPKs. However, I do check my cm and cervix every day. I was just wondering if it is possible to ovulate earlier in a cycle than usual? I've always been able to tell when I ovulate because of ewcm, and I get pelvic pain on the side that I'm ovulating. It started yesterday on my left side (which is about 4 days early) and today it is on my right side. I don't know if I'm just crazy, or I'm actually ovulating a little early!
