Red Raspberry Leaf Tea -When Did You Start Drinking It?

Question

My midwife didn't want me drinking it yet when I asked about it at my last appt due to the risk of it causing preterm labor so my question is - when did you get approval to start drinking it? I was thinking of waiting until 37 weeks?

I asked my doctor yesterday and he said he never heard of it so me being me I explained what I have read on it and he said it's okay, so I got the impression he just thinks it's another flavored tea lol.

I waited until 38 weeks to do any of the 'tricks'. I found the tea to be funky tasting. But fyi I tried all the tricks except castor oil, even had a massage therapist try to induce me at 39 and 40 weeks because my Dr was going to induce me for medical reasons, none of the tricks worked and I became overdue anyway.  Not to discourage you, just don't make yourself crazy drinking nasty stuff like I did lol

I've never seen research linking it to preterm labor (and I research a lot...); it's just good for your uterus.

No scientific study has shown it actually causes labor so drink it if you think it tastes good, but don't expect miracles
