Using laptop on lap while pregnant?

I never thought of this but I do some graphic design work and rest my laptop on my lap. Is this harmful for the baby?

I've read a bunch of studies about this because I carry my phone in my suit pocket right by my stomach. There is no evidence that it is harmful but there isn't as much research as you would think. I'm sure it's fine but I try not to have my phone or laptop on my stomach just in case.

I think it's just like anything else that heats up that area. Typically avoided, because it can put strain on the baby.
