0 to water breaking??

Anyone had that experience? Where they were checked at a 0 and the same day or night their water broke? I know waters only break spontaneously in like 15% of pregnancies but just wondering if it usually happens more when you're already dilated or if it can happen when you are at a 0

Yes! When I had my daughter I went in to my last appointment on my due date December 30th and was 0 dialated, scheduled me another app for a week later to discuss induction. Then, determined I walked up and down 3 flights of hospital stairs & went home. Around 11:30 had a lil bit of pain so I went to go pee, as soon as I sat on the toilet my water broke! I had her December 31st at 3:40pm.

This just happened to me. I was due 10/8. However, starting @ 30 weeks I was in & out of the hospital due to the baby having a fast heartbeat. I was never dilated or contracting. On the night of Sept.7th my water broke. I still don't know why because I wasn't even contracting at all. I did have to have a c-section but only because she was breeched.
