Breast feeding questions??

So I'm right at 29 weeks and my doc keeps asking if I'm leaking or not yet and says by now most women are just a little.... I'm not leaking at all and haven't had sore breasts or anything. My mom was never able to breast feed and of her three kids bec her milk never came in and my sister barely breast fed her second baby for 4 months. They said me having a larger chest anyways and my mom and sisters history with it that I may not be able to either...

I do want to breastfeed but if I'm not able to I'm completely fine with formula feeding and people tell me I'm a terrible person for even entertaining the idea of not even trying bec I most likely won't be able to anyways... 
What do you other ladies think???? Should I try like I planned or no?? Should I be leaking or anything by now?

I think it's strange that your doctor told you that. Leaking before birth has no impact on your milk coming in or your ability to breastfeed.

I feel the same way as you do- a fed baby is best, however the means. There's a lot of pressure to breastfeed, and for good reasons obviously, but I don't see formula as a bad thing either! I'm going to try it and if it doesn't work we'll go to formula.

On my 4th baby and I have never leaked with any of them. Currently 30+1 and still no leaks. This is not an indication that I will not be able to breastfeed. I always have lots of milk that comes in. Just wait until baby arrives and see what happens. Be positive. If you leak it is normal and if you don't leak that is normal too.

Try massaging your breast and attempting hand expression. You might get a few drops of fluid. I did, and it really set my mind at ease that my breasts were doing what they should be doing. Good luck! Everyone is different. Don't put too much stock into what someone else's "normal" is.

You will leak after your baby comes. Mine went away around 3 months, like my body finally regulated itself . Still excusivley BF my 4 months old.

I never leaked at all with either pregnancies. It's very rare to not be able to breastfeed. However I don't know the exact genetics of it with your mom not having milk come in. It happened to a friend of mine. She kept waiting and it just never came in. I would definitely try if you want to, but it doesn't hurt to have some formula and bottles ready for backup. Honestly it's good to have them even if you do breastfeed because you just never know what can happen.

I wasn't aware "most" women leaked. I now if you pinch your nipped sometimes you can get something, but I've never leaked before having my babies. I'd plan on breast feeding. Just stay super hydrated. I've breast fed 3 out of my 4 children and plan on with this one as well. As long as you keep a steady pace it will help you not dry up. Some people are unable due to inverted niples or baby just won't latch. I had an issue with my son latching so I formula fed. My girls I breast fed .

I never leaked with my first, even after she was born- breastfeed her for 8 months until the well ran dry.  I'm 26w now and not a drop yet.

You should try it. Most women actually don't leak during pregnancy. I did only once with my first and this time around didn't leak at all. Just give it a go and if supply becomes a serious issue, then that's what formula is for. :)

Give it a go,if it's not for you then it doesn't matter as long as baby is being fed who cares how?! I'm 35 weeks,I don't leak really.. only if there is a significant amount of pressure on my boobs!
