I did crossfit up until the night before I had my son and had a very difficult and painful labor even with an epidural and ended up with an emergency c-section.  Completely opposite of my first labor and I didn't work out at all during that pregnancy.  However, even after a c-section I have recovered very quickly and went back to crossfit 2 weeks pp.

I walked a mile every day my third trimester. Then the last 2 months I had a routine of waking a mile, then dancing for 30 min to an hour, doing as many squats as I could.. usually only like 10 with my big belly then bouncing on my ball.. I was a whole week over do.. then had to have a emergency c-section because I wouldn't dilate past 6 and baby never dropped. Idk maybe I'm just very unlucky but it didn't work for me at all

I was super active, lifting, walking, elliptical, some jogging, ball bouncing, etc. up until the night before I went to the hospital, and I was in labor for over 24 hours. Ended up having to be put on pitcoin. Honestly, I expected my labor to be shorter because of how active I had been. He did come 5 days early though. That being said, I think my recovery after delivery was much easier because of being active. I lost more than all the pregnancy weight immediately after giving birth, was back in the gym 1.5 weeks later and ran a 5k in under 25 minutes at 4 weeks pp (most slowest 5k time by several minutes, but the one I am most proud of!).
