Well, I'm now 38w4d. Had my first cervical check yesterday. The OB says I'm 3cm dialated and 80% effaced. No wonder these past couple of weeks have been so challenging - I've definitely felt my cervix making these changes! If I don't begin labour on my own beforehand - they're having me go in on Wednesday to break my water. I have gestational diabetes and am on insulin at bedtime to control my fasting numbers. The OB guesses that baby will weigh 8lbs5oz. I was thinking larger, so I hope he is right! Planning to walk a lot this weekend - if I can find the energy. Would love to begin labor naturally! Was thinking about pestering my hubby for sex, lol! But the last few times have NOT been enjoyable. Just too painful :( I suppose it's worth trying again if it might mean a natural labour.
