Hey mommas I wanted a diaper gene for my baby shower never got it my son's now 1 month old. 
I been using walmart bags and just throwing them out every night. 
Considering buying one but I want ur opinions on them first

I am on the cheap end. Why spend money on a diaper  bin when the free bags are working?

I like ours, it's just a pain to empty it and buy the special bags....but I'm afraid of the alternative!

We had a diaper genie with my first child and now for the second, we have the new ubbe. You can use regular trash bags inside both of these to save money on the refill bags. They're great at keeping the odor in, but the genie started to absorb the smell so we had to throw it out.

I'm kind of glad I got one (the arm & hammer brand) because the garbage/recycling rules just changed in the county I live in, so they're being super picky about What they take and do not take anymore- Plastic bags being one of the things they aren't taking 😂 this shall be fun with poopie diapers.

I have just a cheap one I like it. It cuts off the smell and it's nice to keep near the change table.
