Little late

I had surgery on on my ankle beginning of Oct. We have been ttc. We had unprotected sex a couple weeks prior to my surgery during my ovulation week, but the test before my surgery said negative. But I am now 6 days late. Should I test or is it possible that the surgery and stress cause a late period start?
