question, please answer!

If I did conceived it was around sept 19th-27th right now I'm 3 days late but still getting bfn, my mom says it's too early that I should wait till the end of the month for te test to come back positive.
If I go to my doctor could a blood test determine it faster? I'm about 17 dpo
