got to hear baby's heartbeat! gender?

Yesterday my husband and I got to hear our 14 week old baby's heart beating for the first time! The best sound ever after our first child miscarried. Does heart rate effect gender or is that  just a myth? The heart rate was in the upper 140s to mid 150's. Boy or girl?

It's a myth. My baby's heartbeat was always in the "girl" range, every single time, but he's 4 months old now and definitely a boy!

Just a myth!! For every appointment our little one's heart rate ranged from 160-173 so everyone was saying that it was a girl, even though I really felt it would be a boy. We just found out it's a boy!
