How long did you hurt after your c-section?

I am on post-op day 14 and still hurt a LOT. My incision is fine & not infected or anything. It's more of a burning pain above my incision. Is it normal to still be in pain?

It is totally normal and a burning sensation is very normal as well!! I am 4 weeks PP and I feel about 95%. I had really bad edema for just over 2 weeks which affected my recovery since I couldn't stay on my feet very long. My sister in law was still in pain at 4 weeks PP and didn't start to really feel normal until 6 weeks PP. EVeryone really is different. Just try to get up and move as much as possible, but DO NOT overdo it. Don't want to get set back. I overdid it a couple times and regretted the following day. 4 weeks is usually a turning a point for a lot of c-section moms.

I never had edema at all durning my pregnancy until after my c section. It probably took 3 weeks for all of the edema to go away and that was drinking plenty of water. I took Percocet and ibuprofen for about 2 weeks PP but if I moved just right, it would send a burning feeling across my incision like it was pulling. I'm sorry to say but this sensation has just now went away and my son will be 6 weeks Wednesday. I hope you feel better soon!!!

Please don't hate me but I never once took a pain killer after my csection. Day after my surgery I was up and walking around like nothing happened. I'm guessing it depends on each individual and how the react to surgery.

I was in pain for about 4 days.. I stopped taking pain killers after that.

It was about 3 weeks give or take before that horrible burning pain went away. I feel for you. That sucked so bad!!!

I'm 3weeks PP and it's just stopped hurting over the last couple of days. I got a burning pain above my C-section too.

I'm approaching my fourth week and still feel a little pain above my incision but other than exercise and work I'm pretty much back to normal. The first two weeks post were awful, i was on pain meds around the clock ( I have a low pain tolerance).

I started to feel like my old self 3 week pp. I hope to start taking longer walks at 6 weeks and exercise at 8! I still have pain and heat/swelling around inscision. Granny panties are my best friend still :(

I'm 1 month pp and my pain stopped after the second week. I barely even took my pain medications as well. I never had a burning sensation though; just a dull ache. I'd ask the doctor about that to be on the safe side!

I'm 16 days. I'm back driving and virtually normal. I get the odd burning feeling above incision but it's just the healing process. It's usually when I've lifted a lot it's worse. I'm not in pain though to take medication. It's only occasional burning. Everyone heals differently. I've got up and done things since day 1 and I really believe you heal quicker that way.
