Period changes after MC?

Has anyone else noticed this? I miscarried in July, had a three-week long miscarriage, then a 2-week break, then started my next period.

The last few cycles have been bizarre. I have radically different PMS symptoms - lots of gas and bloating and, this cycle in particular, I was nauseated for *an entire week* before AF. Has never happened in my 20+ years of menstruating.

I've also noticed that my periods are way heavier in the first day or so and then slow down dramatically by day 3. I'm used to having 5-7 day periods. The last two periods also started with brown spotting before switching over to a normal bleed.

Has anyone had this experience of your period and PMS symptoms going haywire after MC?

Mine has been much shorter since MC (2 days of bleeding instead of like 4-5). Hoping it doesn't mean anything for your period to be different after. I think it's pretty common. Just another crappy thing to deal with!

I just had my first period after my miscarriage and I had brown spotting for 4 days beforehand.

The only thing that was different about my af after d&c was that the first day of af was very heavy. I soaked through a few tampons an hour.
