Baby won't sleep in crib. Advice?

While in the hospital I had tons of family visit, meaning he was being held just about every second someone was there. He's now 12 days old and refuses to sleep in his crib. Fpr the first few days he wouldn't sleep at all unless he was in my arms. Now he's willing to sleep for a few hours on my bed. I don't want to Cosleep but I've given in, due to being so tired and just wanting to rest too. I want him in his crib but as soon as I put him in it he wakes up and begins crying. Any ladies have advice on how to make the transition?

Have you tried this?  My bestie swears it's the only thing that worked to get her baby in the crib initially.

Try rock n play. Or arms reach cosleeper crib. Worked great for our "wanted constant cuddles" newborn

We used a bassinet for the first 4 months so baby could be close but not in our bed. Up until 12 days ago baby has been very close to you inside your belly they are missing that warmth and heartbeat. White noise machine  might help, put a towel that was heated in the dryer on the crib right before you lay baby down so bed is warm (obviously remove towel b4 laying baby down). Make sure baby is swaddled, they startle easily and their arms can wake themselves up.

That's the same problem I had with my first son he never wanted to sleep in his crib because he was so use to arms , I tried everything from a rocker to bassinet , to a auto rocker nothing worked he is currently 11 months old &&I still sleeps with me on my bed

I'm going through this right now with my son!! I also gave in and sleep with him on my chest or on a pillow next to me just to catch a few winks!! But I never wanted to Co sleep. I have to let him cry now.. I don't want a spoiled baby.  And for all who say you can't spoil a newborn I disagree!!  He knows where he wants to be and that's in my arms whether something is wrong with him or not and I can't live like that.. I gotta go back to work soon. So like I said I let him cry only for about 5 mins to tire himself out.. pick him up swaddle him really good, let him doze off then put him in his bed with some white noise music. Hope it helps if you try it. I also started giving him his baths right before his bed time and bottle.. he cries so bad during his bath hes tired when we are done.  He gets a bottle right after and he's out like a light for hrs!!!!! Try it!
