What activities do you do with your 1 month old?

Question

I carry her around the house/do tummy time (she doesn't like to do that for too long)/show her black and white pictures, but sometimes I run out of ideas. It's really cold and rainy in Seattle, so to go outside isn't the best option. What do you do?

My 5 week old just sleeps all day all night. Wakes up maybe a total of 4 hours.... :(

With my son I sing, read, cuddle, work on gross motor skills, tummy time, talk to him, nursery rhymes, go on walks when it's nice outside, let him watch tv with me(he is fascinated by the tv and lights), have him help me with school work(read him my assignments and have him lay on his activity mat. Tummy time, we stand by our living room window and look at the trees outside, we dance around, we have coo conversations, we  walk to my kids school to pick them up, and we stare at eachother in the eyes for very long periods of time.. it's the best feeling in the world 😍😍😍

My 5 week old loves to watch the living room ceiling fan. I also sing to her and we dance (move her arms and legs for her), read to her and play with finger puppets. She is on and off interested but it's something to do.

Reading/singing, tummy time, also dangling toys above her face so she can look at them, my fiancé likes to put her hands on his beard so she feels different textures. We also have a little jungle gym that she likes to lay under (only for short periods) and look at all the toys dangling above her. There is also a mirror where she can look at the "other baby" which she really really loves!! And talking to her whenever she's awake, except when it's bedtime, I try to avoid all eye contact so she isn't too interested in what I'm doing.

I wave soft toy animals and the hungry caterpillar rattle toy in front of her. She loves toys with music and pays attention to them. She also likes her bouncer , likes the rocking motion from it and stares forever at the little animals dangling from her bouncer. I do tummy time too. I also have the fisher price rainforest which I can't wait to use.

I live in Bothell! And yes the weather makes it hard to enjoy the outdoors with baby. I just do tummy time when he's awake or we just stare at each other. He just recently started smiling back so I'm enjoying it. He still sleeps a lot so I just enjoy holding him since he won't be little forever.

I try to sing but he doesnt think mommy can carry a tune so thats out the door lol when its nice we go for walks, i lay him on the bed and talk to him, he LOVES that. Some tummy time at LEAST once a day...I turn Radio Disney Jr Radio on iHeart on as well since I cant sing lol I also dance with him lol
