nipples and breastfeeding!!!??

Question

So I keep asking myself these questions about breast feeding..

My nipples are what I see as "normal" like that stick out all the time and are small. 
No.
My nips are not bologna nips as you would say but there like bigger than you see as "normal" and the tips don't really "poke out"  like you would think.. because of that would that have any effect on how my son would or wouldn't be able to feed?

Babies tend to figure it out. I always tell everyone that at first you should just squeeze a few drops out and let them lick it up. That way you make sure they get enough milk even before they figure out how to suck well. (And they're better at figuring out a latch when they're not too hungry).

You may need a nipple shield to help with latch but you should be fine. My SIL uses one because her nipples don't stick out enough for her son to latch .

You should be fine. I've heard of women with inverted nipples who breastfeed fine, big nipples, small nipples, all different kinds. Mine were larger then normal and my son had no trouble. Don't get discouraged if you do run into any issues, patience, persistence, and a good lactation consultant can do wonders.
