Predomal Labor and Im over it (Long read and repost)
I am posting this again because the 1st time I posted it to the wrong board.
So.... I was due 3 days ago. For the last 4+ weeks I have been having bursts of contractions that are consistent and frequent. Some bouts are 6-7 min apart for several hours, some are 9-11 min apart for several hours, but NONE progress in terms of pain. They hurt but one never hurts so bad i have to stop what I am doing. 4wks ago I was at 1cm 50% -3, 2 weeks ago I was at 2cm 50% -3, today I was 3.25cm 75% and -1, so I am progressing.
Anyways.... this is where the Rollercoaster begins....
Last week at my 39w appt my dr comes in and says well next week we will discuss induction. My daughter (my 2nd baby) was born 2hrs after labor started and doesn't want to risk me having this baby (my 3rd) on the freeway (we live in California so depending on the time of day... it is a real possibility) So she says when my contractions are 10 min apart for 40-50 min to head in. So today I go in to my normal weekly appt and she did a sweep and then noticed my bp was high so she sent me straight to L&D. I get there... contractions are, no shit, 5-6 min apart. My bp was ok. But since the contractions didn't get me to a 4 I was sent home... still having contractions.
Now I understand that dilation is no indicator, and a sweep is not guaranteed labor, I also understand what predomal labor is and that just like its been happening for the last month... the contractions might subside. But honestly... i am just over it. I unrealistically feel like I will be pregnant forever. If i am to go in no matter what when contractions are 10 min apart for 40-50 min... then why at 6min apart for 3+ hrs would they send me home!? I know there's reasoning somewhere but my goodness i am exhausted and my body cant take it. Walk walk walk, sex sex sex, yada yada yada.... none of that shit works with me right now....... Siiiiiiiigggghhhhhhhhhhhh
Can any of you ladies relate? Anyone have any good sweep or predomal/latent labor success stories.
