Bumpers or no bumpers?

Are you putting them on your crib? I don't understand why they sell them if they are so unsafe?

I am absolutely not putting bumpers of any kind in the crib. Same goes for blankets and pillows etc. Even the "breathable" bumpers are a strangulation hazard- I've seen crime scene reenactment photos of how it happens and it's awful. As long as you're using a safe crib (one that meets current safety standards and isn't broken or defective), the risk of baby dying from getting stuck in the slats is nil. Bumpers may prevent bumps and bruises and maybe even a broken bone, but I'll take any of those over a dead baby any day. Wearable blankets (sleep sacks) are another safe solution if you're worried about baby getting stuck between crib slats.

We went with bumpers for when our baby is ready to move in his crib.. we made sure we looked at all reviews & purchased a breathable one from traget. Super affordable & gives us a peace of mind that he won't get his hands or anything stuck between the bars.

I don't think you should use a bumper I've heard way too many horror story's and it's better to be safe rather then sorry

To make money. Bumpers are for older babies. you can get an air wrap for smaller babies but my daughter has never had either. SIDS scare the shit out of me
