ultrasounds, are they safe??

My doctor gives me an ultrasound every time I come to the office for my monthly checkup.. do you think that is ok or should be avoided, and could the ultra sound affect my baby in any way??

It's sound waves. No radiation. Safe as can be. They have done so much research to back this up. You can look up the ALARA theory if you're interested. Anyway- safe. I'm an ultrasound tech.

The image may sort of look like an x-ray however it uses a completely safe method of retrieving the data that is collected for the scan. You don't have any risk at all for your or your babies health in this instance.

Yes it's safe. There is no evidence they aren't sage and if they weren't, they wouldn't give so many to already high risk pregnancies
