is the membrane sweep /strip painful?

I'm so torn , I don't like pain 😩I watched YouTube and frighten as hell now . I'm only 31 weeks

No not painful at all unless they REALLY stretch which they dont unless your in labour. But stretch and sweeps arent done till at least 39 weeks. You very well may have baby without ever having one. Plus if your scared you can always decline one.

I haven't done it yet, but told it's ~20 seconds... doesn't sound fun, but neither does being pregnant past 40 weeks 😳

I thought it was uncomfortable but I didn't scream or anything.. and it's over super fast

My doc did mine yesterday, and to be honest, the checking of my cervix hurt more than the sweep did.

Yes. I thought it hurt like hell but it was over pretty quick. I had it done at 40w2d because I wasn't dilated at all but it did put me into labor!
