where you induced ?!

Who can share what it was like being induced ?! I just found out I have to be in the beginning of December and also have to have a balloon catheter put in before the induction to get it going -.- any advice on that ?!

I had both done!! On 8-17 the inserted the catherter at 3:30 in the afternoon and was scheduled for induction at 4 am on 8-18 
I went home after the insert of the catheter and rested. Woke up at midnight to shower.  At about 1:30 the catheter fell out by itself. I got to the hospital at 3:30 and got into my room at 4. I tested positive for strep b so they had to give me the antibiotics of that prior to the pitocin. So they started that, it took four hours for the first antibiotic to be finished (they keep you on the antibotoc for the steep b the entire time you are in labor) so at 9 am they started the pitocin. I didn't feel contentions until about 12:30 when I got to 6 cm (the catheter feel out at 4cm) 
I got the epidural at that point. Within thirty minutes the epidural drip wasn't working so the anastoglist came in and gave me a different pin led and that did the trick. I couldn't feel anything from my boobs down. At 4 I was checked on and I was at 9cm  and at that point they broke my water which was not painful at all! at 4:30 I was checked again and I was at 10! The doctor then did a few practice pushes but I couldn't feel anything so it wasn't worth pushing. I had my husband go get my doctor at 4:50, she walked in at 5:00 and said your ready? I said yes it feels like I need to push so they said okay let's do it! I began to push, it was hard d cuz I couldn't feel my legs so it was hard to feel if I was pushing or not. At 5:28 my healthy baby girl was born! 5 pounds 14 ounces. I was full term 40 weeks and 3 days.

Through your the entire time I only felt about 4 contractions and that was when the epidural wasn't working for my body

My induction was pretty easy. Took a pill to help things start and then was put on pitosin a couple hours later. I have heard really bad things about the balloon and it being extremely painful. You might think about doing research and finding out if they can try something else
