Angels DO exist!!

Hi all! I wasn't sure where to post this, so forgive me if it's in the wrong group. I just had the coolest experience and wanted to share! I apologize in advance that this is going to be long! My ex and I share joint custody of our 2 boys, and it was my turn to drive them to their dad's house who lives 2 hours away from me. I dropped them off and then proceeded to head home. About 45mins into my drive back I saw that the highway I need to take to get home is completely closed at the on ramp. Apparently there was a really bad accident involving a semi truck, and 24 vehicle crash that had the highway completely closed for miles, and I had no alternate route. Luckily for me, I was near this extremely small town, which is more so just a truck stop, as it literally has a McDonald's, a Subway and gas station... That's IT! So I pulled off into the town, which had been turned into an absolute circus due to travelers being averted there due to the accident. People were literally camping out in the back of their vehicles because Dept. Of Transportation had no information on when the highway would even be open again, but it was rumored it wouldn't be open til late that night, so a lot of people were just hunkering down in their vehicles for the night. I decided I would have to do the same, but I was so ill prepared, and to make matters worse, my phone died and my car charger took a crap on me and wouldn't work. I couldn't even get a hold of my husband to tell him what was going on! Then, just when things couldn't get any worse, a piece of sand blew into my eye and got under my contact lens and I had nothing to clean it out with. My eye was killing me and I was using a water bottle to try to rinse the sand out of my eye... It sucked and I was miserable!! About this time I hear a tap on my window. I look over and see this sweet, little old lady peering into my car. I rolled down my window and she asked if I was stranded because of the accident. I told her yes, and that I was just going to wait it out in my car until morning. She then told me it wasn't safe for a young lady to be out here all alone, and said she had a spare bedroom in her home she'd be more than happy to put me up in for the night, that is if I didn't mind dogs, as it was just her and her dog that lived in the house. I told her I didn't mind dogs at all, and I followed her in my car to her house which was about 10minutes down the road. She got me all settled in her spare bedroom, let me use her phone to call my husband, and even gave me a bottle of saline solution for my contact lens! Then she fed me a home cooked dinner, and gave me an extra set of pajamas to wear to bed and a spare toothbrush! We stayed up together just watching TV and chatting each other up until we both felt sleepy and went to bed, and it was just a really awesome experience! In the morning she made me breakfast, gave me a bottle of water, had me call my hubby to let him know I was on my way, and then gave me her phone number and insisted I text her when I got home so she'd know I made it home safe! What an amazing human being, and I am just blown away by her kindness and generosity! She didn't have to do ANY of that, but there she was, helping a complete stranger and going above and beyond to turn a crappy situation into a very pleasant experience! I ended up getting home, no problems, and texted her when I arrived that I was safe and had made a new friend for life!! I told myself that from now on, whenever I have to make the drive to my ex's to pick up or drop off the kids, I'm going to drop in and pay her a visit, as I know she probably gets a bit lonely. I'm sorry this post is so long, I am just feeling so blessed and blown away by her kindness that I wanted to share!! Despite all the evil and corruption in this world, there are still people like Shirleen who exist and renew my faith in humanity! Now it's definitely my turn to pay that kindness forward!
