rhythm method

I have been starting to think about what type of birth control I will start after the baby arrives. Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, about the rhythm method or natural family planning? I know it is not fool proof, but I figure it's worth looking into. I have been on oral contraceptives most of my adult life, but it absolutely kills my sex drive and anything implanted is a no go (I just personally don't feel comfortable with it).
