nursing necessities ??? HELP

My mom never breast fed and she's been my source of info so far. I'm so stuck on what to get for nursing. We had our baby shower and got a couple bottles and milk storage bags. But I'm so lost. Idk what brands or bottles I can use for pumping. And my insurance only covers a handheld pump, is electric better? I'm trying to start a good list to filter through so we can get these things Asap. Due date is only 8 weeks away and I'm losing my mind. Any and all advice helps. I'm looking to pump and feed straight from the tap lol. Also, I'm not big on just whipping out my boob in public so other than a blanket, what can I cover up with?

Talk to your doctor! Under obamacare you can get a breast pump for free through your insurance. Also the hospital where you deliver will have lactation consultants there to help you figure everything out through those first few days with your LO. Good luck dear hope that helps you out 🍼

I loved the Lansinoh brand milk storage bags, the medela pump in style electric pump. You will also need breast pads for leakage. I strongly recommend using some type if nursing support pillow like Boppy. The hands free bra tops that you can use while pumping are awesome.

Nursing pads, storage containers, a manual pump will work. Also a nursing pillow and a nursing shaw or cover Walmart sells them you can get then online as well.

Electronic pump for sure. They're expensive but think of the money you'll save on formula! You'll need freezer bags and bottles to pump into. I like my madela double pump. I also got the hands free "bra" so I don't have to hold the cups in place while pumping. My LO liked the Munchkin Latch bottles, but that could vary with each baby

They make nursing shawls. Also, find what pump you are getting and look up the accessories. Sometimes a hand held can be better than an electric. Depending how you want to store will depend how you package.  You can freeze 1 oz portions for easy measurement, use containers or bottlesnor storage bags. Really depends on preference and storage room.

A manual pump works well for occasional pumping. However, if you plan to pump often, an electric is much better and it also does the job better. If you're financially able to then I would recommend getting an electric. You can use whatever bottles you want to feed out of (different babies will accept different bottles), but it depends on your pump as to where the milk goes while you're pumping directly. Typically comes with some little bottle cases, then you transfer the milk. You can pour the milk into bags and freeze them for a long time, or refrigerate if you'll need it within a few days. Also, they sell nursing covers, but it's pretty much the same as a blanket.

I fount an electric pump on amazon..i cant remember the name it was 40 dollars and worked amazing it didnt hurt like the manual one for me. Ill try to look for it but its a good deal
