Stories? PCOS

Question

I had an appt. today and was diagnosed with PCOS. I had started to get Irregular cycles and they found small cysts on my ovary. Was prescribed Provera.
I was so excited to start TTC but with this news I just feel its gonna take longer getting pregnant  then I thought. 😭
Anyone with tips or advice of how to manage Pcos? ANY success stories,long did it take you to get a BFP?

Hi there! I was just diagnosed this month too. From everything I've been learning it seems like diet is a HUGE yet understated factor. It seems like so many foods are triggers for insulin resistance which creates a domino effect in throwing our other hormones out of balance. I've had to cut out dairy, starches/simple carbs, sugar and caffeine. Apparantly those are awful for you if you have PCOS. Definitely read up on it. There's soooo many books. Also yes exercise. YouTube has been super helpful as well. There's so many women on there that have it and share their stories and advice! Good luck my fellow cyster!

I just just diagnosed 3 months ago with PCOS with very irregular periods. However, my doctor put me on metformin 2,000 mg and after 1 month my periods have been pretty regular and I've lost almost 25 pounds in 3 months. Haven't gotten a BFP yet, but hoping this is our month
