Just wondering ladies... due in a week... laready have a 13 year old... What are your thoughts on having him the delivery room?? He is a mature 13 year old & has said he wants to be there to see his brother be born.. I think it might be a nice way of him bonding with his baby brother... Thoughts???

If he's all for it I say let him! I think that's pretty amazing that someone so young, especially a boy wants to be a part of that. Although, I would inform him that there's blood, and possible defication, etc

Why not? Just have him bring something to keep entertained & give him plenty of warning before of what he may see/hear. Maybe show him a few birthing videos online too.

Well I don't know that if want my son seeing my business, and if he at 13 is anything like my husband, he will be completely abhorred at the thought of being in there.... Just not something they are interested in. But if you're comfortable and he is comfortable, go for it, but make sure he is for sure comfortable.

If he really is in to it then I would say why not? Maybe just have someone there as well to hang out with him incase it becomes too much. But if you two would like that memory then I see nothing wrong with it.

If he wants to and you're comfortable with it, I say go for it! Just make sure to prepare him. I was 12 when my brother was born and I was in the room with my mom. I sometimes had to leave and take a walk down the hall, like when she would get checked, bc it was so painful for her and I hated seeing her that way. But it was definitely amazing to see my brother come into the world and see how strong my mama is.
