I had a period last week, it was light. Then I started  spotting this week. I'm having lower abdominal pain and back pain in my tailbone area. I'm on the pill but I haven't been taking it at the same time every day.

The only way you'll know for sure is to take a test. Your symptoms sound like a period to me but it could also be early pregnancy symptoms, especially if you're not taking your BC correctly and having sex. I WAS taking my pill correctly and still got pregnant, so you never know...
