Rant re postal service 😡 (not pregnancy-related but I don't know where to put this)
I'm furious. I put together a newborn gift package for my good friend who had a baby last month, and though my husband and I both HATE our country's postal service (Canada Post) and we happily pay for UPS/FedEx, she wanted it sent with Canada Post as their office is the easiest for her to get to should she not be home when they deliver. She's the new mom with a newborn so I did as she asked.
Thank god I took out extra insurance and put tracking on it as she never got it! I mailed it almost 3 weeks ago, have made several phone calls, sent 4 emails with everyone's details, and to date, NO ONE has bothered to contact me about it. I am so pissed as one of the items for her baby was custom made. She also never got the birthday gift I sent her (again, I put tracking and extra insurance on it) nor the handmade quilt her aunt made for her baby. This is all within THIS month.
I am furious!! Canada Post is so horrible that I can't understand why they are still allowed to exist, especially when everyone else (UPS, FedEx, DHL) are able to do what they can't = know where items are and deliver on-time to the correct address. So fucking pissed!!
