Cervical check & bleeding

On Monday at 3 I had a cervical check to see if I'm dilated and I was (35.5 weeks). It is now Wednesday afternoon and I'm still bleeding. Today it's brown so that's good. Last night I had period cramps which, for me, is always in my upper legs. However, last night I put a pad on and I didn't really have any spots when I woke up this morning. I looked a few minutes ago and saw brown discharge-like fluid without any clumps or anything...and nothing when I wipe. Any ideas if the bleeding after a check is normal after a couple of days?
