Sex in first trimester ??

Question

Hey, do any of you July mummies be scared to have sex in the first trimester ?
Is it ok to? Just because, I'm worried as I mc in June and not sure if it can cause it to happen again ?

I've always heard sex was ok... unless your doctor says otherwise like you have high risk pregnancies then no orgasms. But my husband doesn't give me orgasms anyway... 😉

My first pregnancy consisted of lots of sex and I never had any problems. (Although it did help jump start my labor when the time came). She is now 3y. My doctor told me that it doesn't affect the pregnancy at all and if anything it would be good for the baby as they often experience the same emotions you do. Hope this helps 😜

We had sex the first time I was pregnant. I had a missed miscarriage so sex had nothing to do with losing it.

I had a miscarriage in early September- and of course we had sex that morning so now I'm terrified. I'm sure sex didn't cause it, but I want to be super cautious.

This is something that worries me, too. I've read that it's okay, but I've also read that female orgasm can mess with embryo in early pregnancy (but later progesterone keeps the uterus from contracting during orgasm), and I've read that a man's semen can trigger labor. I'm going to ask my OB/GYN tomorrow and will try to let you know what they say!
