Natural Induction

Nina
So, I know none of these may work but it doesn't hurt to try. As for dates, they've done studies that it can possibly shorten labor. You can find the studies on google. I'm a FTM and have been researching natural birth since before I got pregnant. I found a free standing birth center in my area. I've been reading natural blogs and Ina May's Guide to Childbirth. Even Pinterest has good articles. I've been doing these exercises since I got pregnant (http://www.mamanatural.com/7-easy-exercises-for-an-optimal-pregnancy-labor/). You can google Mama natural easy exercise and it should pop up. My babies been head down this whole time. I see a chiropractor regularly to keep my pelvis aligned and allow baby to stay head down. And below is a list I've gathered. I just thought I'd share it with you. So far I've an easy, uncomplicated pregnancy. I'm hoping labor goes the same. I hired a doula and I'm allowed to give birth in the tub at the birth center. I've seen a lot of people asking so here's what I know.

Evening primrose oil capsules inserted in your vagina at night so they'll dissolve to soften your cervix and you can take them by mouth.

Red raspberry leaf tea for toning the uterus.

Cinnamon tea by boiling cinnamon sticks.

6 dates a day, they have oxytocin like properties.

Sex - ejaculate can soften the cervix.

Squats, walking or sitting on a birthing ball.

Nipple stimulation - manual or with a pump

Castor oil but be careful it causes diarrhea and could make you dehydrated. I wouldn't recommend this one except as a last resort and supported by your doctor/midwife.

Clary sage essential oil, I recommend Young Living brand but you can get it from health food stores. Mix a few drops with coconut oil and rub it on your belly it can stimulate contractions.
