Red hair or black hair?

I still have quite a ways to go but out of curiosity I am going to ask. My fiancé was very much a red head when younger now it's more like strawberry blonde. I have dark black hair what's the chances of my baby having my black hair?! My fiancé has a daughter from previous relationship the mom was blonde so there daughter is blonde. I'm hoping the baby will have black hair so I'll have someone look like me lol

My SO is Hispanic. Dark hair dark eyes. And I'm kinda auburn with thin hair, fair skin. Well my daughter came out looking like me. So it could go either way! But I think your baby will have darker hair.

No way to know, genetics are complicated. Dark hair is usually the dominant gene, but you're born with a mix of dominant and recessive.

I'm dark blonde with green eyes, my husband has black hair and dark brown eyes. Our older daughter has dark blonde hair and baby blue eyes and is very fair, and our baby so far has dark brown hair and blue eyes and an olive complexion.

Even if babe is born with light hair, it could always turn!! My sister was platinum blonde until she got older and her hair is the darkest shade of brown you can find now, just like mine.  I think my son is going to be the same.  His hair was strawberry blonde at 3 and is now slowly getting darker and darker brown.

You have to have red hair on your side of the family (in combination with his) for your child to have red hair. If you do then chances are you'll have a red head. If not, dark!
