Who is getting their tubes tied after this baby?

So I am scheduled for a c-section in 7 days (Nov. 4th) and I asked the doctor a couple of months ago to tie my tubes while she's in there. My husband and I decided we are done having babies, we have 4yr. old twin boys and are about to have another boy (our third boy). With the c-section approaching I can't help but feel sad and a bit unsure because both my husband and I really wanted a girl. The thing is I really don't want 4 kids (I'm not sure I can handle 4), 3 is our max but I feel like I'm mourning the fact that I will never have my girl. My husband is supportive whether I change my mind on tying my tubes or not. I can't stop thinking about it, such a hard decision.

Anyone here going through the same feeling as me??? I would love your opinion.

Don't do it if you're not sure!!! My conscious  would kill me if I did it with any bit of doubt. Just get on birth control meanwhile and think about it good, the pregnancy hormones might be making you feel a type of way.

I am having my 5th c section and I am having my tied as well. I am more sad that my child bearing years are coming to an end. But my hubby and I want to be at a point where we can enjoy each other and not be raising kids! 😛

If I have to get a c section I will be getting my tubes tied. We have 2 boys and I am pregnant now with a girl. We always said we were done at 3 no matter what, but if I were having another boy right now I don't think I could commit to not having another baby. I would wait until I was sure and then just make my husband get a vasectomy 😬

Why don't you use condoms for a while until you know for sure then make the decision to get tubes tied or not just saying it's harder to reverse than to have it done might wanna be 100% sure cause sometimes that little unsure feeling grows bigger I said no more after 2 absolutely not and I'm having my third now sssooooooooo ya might wanna be sure just saying

I wanted mine done and my doctor denied me. So I'm having to schedule through someone else and won't be able to have it done until the end of December.

I'm having mine tied as well. Scheduled for c section on nov 14. I have two boys and this is a girl. But if I was in your shoes and not 100% positive I would hold off. For me even if this was another boy I would be having them tied. I'm 38 and for me my child bearing years are coming to an end due to that. Which honestly makes me sad 😕

I'm getting mine tied as well. This is baby #3 for me and my husband. We already have a boy and a girl and this baby is a boy also a surprise.

If your unsure, don't do it. U can always get it done later. My doctor asked if I wanted mine done. I personally don't want any more children but my husband wants to try for another girl. I haven't agreed but since I'm on the fence about having another, I've decided to wait to get the tied.

I'm going through the same. Baby boy #2 is due on the 22nd and I really have always wanted a little girl but we only want 2 kids. So since I'm feeling so apprehensive my hubby has agreed to get fixed instead since his will be easier to reverse in a few years if I still have another baby on my heart.

I felt the same way. I'm on baby number 5 after 4 girls I tried everything I read on the Internet and in the dr. Shuttles method book before giving up. We tried one more time both wanting a son more then anything to complete our family and we got a boy! I would say talk to your husband and maybe try one last time for a girl. It's easier then a boy! Don't get them tied unless your 100 percent sure about it.
