is my baby too big?

I have GD so I got ultrasound weekly so they can closely monitor me. At 33 weeks baby was 6 pounds and ytd at 36 weeks he is 8 pounds 5oz, will they schedule me a C section or induce me earlier? I am so frustrated..... hope someone can share her experience 🙏🏻

Ultrasounds can be up to 2lbs off so only gestational age measurments should sway their decision my daughter measured 6lbs 10oz the day I was induced (32 weeks) and came out weighing 5lbs 12oz.

Baby weight given is just an estimate and can be wrong.  With ds, tested negative for gd.  His estimate was 7 lbs and 18 inches long however when he was born, 9 lbs 2 oz and 23 inches off.  The ob was about to retire.  With baby boy, I tested negative for gd however because he was showing signs back on wk 21 that he was going to be big, we decided the gd carb diet.  His spine was the give away-extremely long.  Plus diabetes runs very high in my family.  So far the gd carb diet has been going well and has helped out a lot.  I requested 1 last growth scan just prior to labor.  The ob and midwife trying to tell me baby boy is now normal size meanwhile seeing various body parts constantly sticking out fundal measuring 2 wks ahead.  Recently had that growth scan.  So while fundal is still 2 wks ahead baby boy is measuring 1/2 wk ahead gestation age.  So far still on for a vbac.  The gd carb diet is good but using it will not stop genetics.
We expect baby boy to big- on both sides of the family all males are over 6 ft tall and are big at birth.  
My best advice is to see if you can have 1 last growth scan just prior to birth.  Honestly I don't think baby will go through a major growth spurt between the one last growth scan (after wk 35) and labor.  Plus may help put you more at ease/plan accordingly.

At 34 weeks my boy was measuring 7lbs 1oz. I'm having scans every 2 weeks and have one next Tuesday. If he is over 4500g they are going to discuss me being induced

I'm in the same boat. At 35 weeks she was measuring 38 weeks and 6.5 pounds. I am so worry she will be too big. My dr told me since I am controlling my sugars well she does not want to induce me. She is going to let me go to 40 weeks. I am scared that by that time she will be too big! I have my next growth scan on Tuesday and I'll be almost 39 weeks. But she gained 2 pounds in 1 month on my last one so I'm nervous I'm going to deliver a huge baby!
