nightmares

My lo is gonna be 3 months in a week and every once in a while he'll be sleeping peacefully but all of a sudden he will start crying loud like almost screaming where only I can calm him down and then he'll go right back to sleep. I think he could be having nightmares but I'm not sure. I just wanna know if it's normal
