Confused, bleeding at 9dpo

Hi everyone! Yesterday (9dpo) I went to the restroom. I wiped twice and it was bright red blood, so I thought for sure AF had arrived early.  So I used a light tampon. Last night I went to change it and there was just brown, no fresh blood. Typically I spot a few days before AF arrives, but never bright red. AF isn't due until Friday anyway. Anyone have any suggestions?
