Wedded mother gets judged

I've noticed a lot of people in my area are very quick to judge. I live in the Midwest and have been married for over two years now and am currently pregnant with my first child. Now, I realize that here in the Midwest there are a lot of Christians that very strongly feel that marriage before having a child is really important. My husband and I however are not religious whatsoever and don't think that this matters one bit. Nonetheless, we waited several years before getting married and waited another year before trying to conceive. This does not stop all of the crazy religious people from judging us when we're out and about. My husband has gotten super condescending remarks asking if he's married me yet or when we're going to get married. It's like "we're already married!" It's so insanely rude! Here we are super excited to bring this child into our lives and nobody has any reason to judge us for it and yet we still get judged. All I have to say to religious people of this variety is:  if you believe in God that much, why don't you leave the judging to him/her/them/it/whatever-the-heck?
