breast pain normal?

My breasts really hurt when I first got pregnant by went away quickly. I'm now 16 weeks and they ache horribly! Is it normalbto be off and on like this?? And when is painful TOO painful?

Mine have hurt on and off throughout this pregnancy. They hurt really bad right before I found out and by 5 weeks I had to go up a cup size. Later in my second trimester they hurt a lot again and I went up another cup size. I'm now early in my third trimester with more breast pain and my colostrum has come in. Our breasts go through a lot of changes throughout pregnancy and pain is pretty normal.

Normal and I've never heard of it being possible for it to be too painful. Some women experience really bad breast pain. But I'd something doesn't feel right to you, def let your doctor know
